Searching for the Heart of Medical Education

What role does inspiration play in the life of a physician’s education? Is it valued in healthcare, in continuing education, or as a part of physician wellness?  This article is a manifesto for change: a conversation dedicated to promoting the belief that how we learn is as important as what we learn, and that if we want to transform our healthcare delivery system to better meet the needs of our patients, we also need to transform our learning delivery system so that we can better meet the needs of clinicians who face the challenges of providing that healthcare in an era of accelerating and disruptive change.
