Privacy Policy

Effective October 15, 2026

This policy explains how The Protected Airway Collaborative (PAC) handles information through theprotectedairway.com, including PAC accounts, memberships, learning activities, newsletters and contact forms.

Information we collect and why

  • Accounts and memberships. We use the name, username, email address, login credentials and profile details you provide to create and maintain your account, verify access, support password recovery and deliver membership services. Membership records include your plan, subscription status and transaction history.
  • Payments. Checkout collects billing details and uses Stripe to process payment information. PAC receives transaction and subscription information needed to provide access, manage billing and respond to payment questions. Stripe handles the payment details submitted through its payment form.
  • Learning and community activity. Depending on the features you use, the site may record course progress, responses, profile information, posts, comments and messages. Information you choose to put in a directory, community area or public comment may be visible to others who can access that area. Check the audience before posting.
  • Messages and registrations. We use information you submit through contact, training, booking or other forms to respond and provide the service you request.
  • Email subscriptions. When you subscribe or opt in, we use your email address and any details you provide to send PAC lessons, news and training updates. Mailchimp handles newsletter subscriptions and delivery. Email services may record delivery, opens and link activity.
  • Technical information. The website and its service providers receive information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, referring pages and access times. This supports delivery, security, troubleshooting and site statistics.

Cookies and analytics choices

The site uses cookies and similar browser storage for sign-in, membership access, limited content previews, security and saved preferences. Blocking or clearing these can end a session or affect access. The Remember me option extends sign-in according to the site’s authentication settings; browser privacy settings can still end a session.

PAC’s Google Analytics integration asks for your permission to measure site visits and membership purchases. The consent notice explains the information involved, including pages visited, browser analytics identifiers and, when available, membership type and purchase amount. You can choose No thanks without losing membership access and change your choice through the site’s Cookie Preferences control. Declining Google Analytics does not stop the technical processing needed to operate the site or processing by other services described in this policy.

Services that help run PAC

We use service providers for website hosting, security, membership management, payments, email, analytics and media delivery. They receive the information needed for the features they provide. Current services include WordPress.com and Jetpack (Automattic), MemberPress, Stripe, Mailchimp and Google Analytics. Videos and other embedded content can connect your browser to the media provider, which may receive technical information and use its own cookies, particularly if you are signed in to that provider.

For details about providers’ handling of information, see Automattic’s site visitor privacy notice, Stripe’s privacy policy, Intuit’s privacy statement for services including Mailchimp, and Google’s information about partner sites. External websites and services have their own policies. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.

PAC staff and service providers may access information to operate the service and answer support requests. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents or protection of legal rights.

Your choices and requests

  • Review or update available profile details through your PAC account.
  • Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email to stop those emails. Account, billing and service messages may still be needed to manage your membership.
  • Use Cookie Preferences to review the site’s Google Analytics choice. Your browser also provides controls for cookies and stored data.
  • Contact us to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal information, or to ask about other privacy rights that apply where you live. We may need to verify that the request concerns your information. Some information may need to be retained for billing, legal, security or dispute-resolution purposes.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, the purposes above include providing requested services, meeting legal obligations, operating and securing the site, and consent for optional activities where required. You may withdraw consent for those optional activities. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing and to raise a concern with a data protection authority.

Retention and security

Retention depends on the type of information and why it is held. Account and learning records support ongoing access; billing records may be needed for accounting and legal obligations; support and security records help resolve issues. Provider systems and backups may have separate retention schedules. Contact us about a specific record or a deletion request.

We use account access controls and the security features of our hosting and payment services. No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details or patient-identifying information through contact forms, email or community posts.

Contact and policy updates

For privacy questions or requests, use Contact Us or email theprotectedairway@gmail.com. Please identify your request as a privacy matter and provide only the information needed for us to respond.

We may update this policy as the website or its services change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
