In the world of emergency airway, there’s an important difference between knowing the path and walking the path. PAC was created around a single simple idea: that any airway knowledge is useless if it can’t be successfully translated into action during the stressful, and time-critical moments when it matters most. What you learn should function in the real world.
Achieving that goal in today’s education environment however has many challenges. So we set out on a mission to create a more flexible, more resilient learning platform. The result is our new learning spaces that reach far beyond traditional teaching styles. To build them we draw from the creative arts and design thinking, leverage off the shelf and advanced technology, and explore the boundary between digital and physical space in new ways in order to enhance knowledge translation.
All the learning spaces on this site blend in person and online learning in new ways. Using the exact same learning space you can now experience our uniquely immersive, interactive and self-directed learning installations (with their in person coaching stations, training labs and simulation challenges) or you can learn remotely using our masterclass style of content delivery, and join our experts with our virtual training labs.

Masterclasses give you all the concepts and skills of emergency airway care presented through the eyes of the experts. Listen as they discuss how to apply what you learn in real-world situations, and then watch as they demonstrate the procedures and the tricks of the trade they rely on in their practice. Explore all the engaging graphic content and bundled resources associated with each video in our deep dive sections. When your done, combine them with visits to our virtual training lab or in person events.
We’re partnering with leaders in telemedicine, at the Center for Virtual Care, to develop our innovative new tools that provide safe, efficient, realistic, and effective medical education built for today’s learning environment. Like our installations we’ve applied design thinking to transcend the limits of online learning.

Anatomy Lab Training
State of the art facilities
We have access to one of the most advanced anatomy labs in the country at Weill Cornell Medical College. We bring diverse faculty and provide state of the art equipment so you can get your your hands on all of it! This action packed day provides the opportunity to perform hundreds of intubations and other airway skills including surgical cricothyrotomy in the most anatomically realistic setting possible without it being a real patient.

THE INTERACTIVE POSTER
No more classrooms. Each theme based installation is built around a series of uniquely interactive posters: using impactful graphics, and embedded multimedia content that allows you to explore at your own pace and customize your journey in a way that best suits your learning needs. Then, use each poster within the space as a jumping off point for a more immersive experience in the physical space.
Theme Based & Narrative Driven
Through stories our learning becomes more powerful; embedding knowledge through our uniquely human experience. Each of our six installations are theme based so that concepts and skills can be organized into more effective cognitive constructs. Within these spaces you will also hear powerful stories from experienced clinicians and patients. Narratives that will help you understand the role human factors play in our successes and our failures. Stories that highlight why what we do matters, and why how we learn matters even more.
THE COLLABORATIVE SPACE
High fidelity simulation, and other creative challenges such as escape the rooms are part of each installation. This component of the installation learning style allows you to solidify your new knowledge and skills by actively deploying them in a team-based environment. Debriefs by faculty help you identify areas of improvement in order to customize a path back through the installation’s content for even more focused learning. This iterative learning cycle between the digital and physical space helps to develop mastery.
Training Labs & Expert Coaching
Customized learning for your needs
Training labs and expert faculty are placed in key training stations within each installation. Each installation is an immersive “flipped classroom,” allowing you complete freedom to explore. Faculty are also free from having to teach in a one size fits all format. Instead of talking or lecturing at groups of passive learners, coaches can give you individualized feedback. The stress lab is just one of the many training labs integrated into PAC.
