NextGen Learning To Elevate Your Airway Practice

Chapter 1 – Correct Placement

In Collaboration with C.R.E.A.T.E

The chest X-ray is an essential tool for confirming the correct placement of an endotracheal tube. It visually confirms its position within the trachea relative to anatomical landmarks.

When an endotracheal tube is inserted, it’s ideally positioned just above the carina. The chest X-ray can confirm the correct positioning and check for associated complications following placement or misplacement.
